How CAPITA1 decides what to publish, where its information comes from, where AI is used and where it is not, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Where our information comes from

IPO data — price bands, dates, lot sizes, issue sizes and subscription — is collected on a schedule from official exchange sources, principally NSE, stored with the date it was collected, and published from that stored copy. A field the source never stated is left blank rather than inferred.

A few figures have no reliable machine source. The grey market premium and Offer for Sale details are entered by a member of the team from the document they come from, and carry a link to it.

Market news is found through the public news feeds of Economic Times, Moneycontrol, LiveMint and Business Standard, and through Google News. Those publishers do the reporting. CAPITA1 does not claim it.

How we use AI

Each market news page carries text written by AI models — currently Google Gemini, with other providers as a fallback. The model writes a headline of our own, a short summary, key takeaways, a note on why the story matters, and, for a story about an IPO, a paragraph giving the terms of the issue from our own IPO record.

  • The model works only from the publisher’s headline and its short feed description. It has not read the full article, and it is instructed not to state any number, date or price that does not appear in that text.
  • The IPO paragraph uses only figures from CAPITA1’s own IPO record, and says so on the page. It gives only the terms of the issue — price band, lot size, issue size and bidding dates — and only when those terms were public on the day the story was published. It never states later figures such as subscription, grey market premium or listing price.
  • Headlines must state the same news as the original, without questions, clickbait or buy-sell framing. A generated headline that fails those checks is discarded and the publisher’s headline is shown instead.
  • The model is instructed never to give investment advice or a prediction.
  • Every AI-written section is labelled as AI-written where it appears.

AI analysis on IPO pages, such as the prospectus reader, is generated on request and labelled as AI on the page. Blog explainers and features are published by the CAPITA1 Editorial Team and cite the primary sources they rely on; daily IPO posts are assembled from our IPO records, so their figures are read from data rather than written from memory.

What is — and is not — reviewed by a person

To be direct: news summaries are generated and published automatically. A person does not review each story before it appears.

That is why news pages are kept out of search engines by default. A news page is offered for indexing only after a member of the team has reviewed it, and only when it also carries a headline of our own and enough original analysis to be worth reading. Every other news page stays available to readers but asks search engines not to index it.

IPO data corrections, grey market premium entries and Offer for Sale details are made by the team.

Attribution

  • Every news page names the publisher and links to the original report, near the top and again at the end.
  • Where we have written our own headline, the publisher’s original headline is shown on the page too.
  • We do not reproduce the publisher’s text. Summaries, card teasers and headlines are written in our own words; the full reporting belongs to the publisher.

Corrections

If something on CAPITA1 is wrong — a figure, a date, a summary that misstates the original story — email support@capita1.in with the page address and what you believe is wrong, or use the feedback form. We check the report against its source. Where it is wrong, we correct the page, and a correction that changes the substance of a page is reflected in the page’s updated date.
